Daily Horas

Ekadasa Rudrabhisheka Homam on 21st August. Book your archana

The Hora is a one hour duration in a day, ruled by a particular planet. In a week, on each of the seven days, starting from the sunrise or sunset time, there are 24 horas ruled by the seven planets. Depending on the ruling planet the horas are either suitable or inimical for various undertakings. This can be used to select a suitable time for an undertaking.

The following hora chart shows the day and the planet ruling the hora at any given time of the day. To know the horaphala during any hour on any week day, click on the corresponding square. For this you need to know the sunrise time on that day at your place. you can check the local sunrise time for your place from your local news paper.

For example: You want to check the hora on Wednesday 10.00 am. Your local news paper gives the sunrise time as, say 6.30 am. The first hora (of the first hour after sunrise) is upto 7.30, 2nd upto 8.30 and so on. So the time you want to check, i.e. 10.00 am, falls on the 4th hora and is ruled by jupiter. Click on the square to check the hora nature.
