Narsobawadi or Narsinhwadi is situated at a distance of 48 kms from Kolhapur and from Sangli 25 km. The Datta Mandir is a tempeTemple dedicated to Narsinh Saraswati – who was an incarnation of Dattatreya. Built on the banks of the meeting place of the two rivers Panchganga and Krishna.
Dattatreya in his Narasimha Saraswati incarnation did meditation for 12 years here before taking Mahasamadhi at Srisailam. According to ancient scriptures he said: “I am leaving my Padukas here. I will be ever present where my Padukas are worshipped. Whatever wishes to be prayed for, offering worship to the Padukas, they will be granted and fulfilled.”

Via Rail: It is well connected with several major cities.
Via Road – Narsobawadi Datta Mandir is located nearby to two major cities Kolhapur (50 km) and Sangli (25 km). You will get lot of buses from these cities.
From Sangli city the Narsobachi wadi temple is around 22 KM, once can drive or even private vehicles like Jeeps, Sumo will be available. From Sangli Bus Stand one can board buses to Kurundwad town and get down at Narsobawadi.
Local transportation includes auto rickshaws and city buses from Miraj city (around 16 km), buses from Kolhapur (around 52 km) are also available.
