In the 1999 general elections, the BJP secured a comfortable and on 13 October 1999, Vajpayee took oath as Prime Minister of India for the third time. This was Rahu-Mars period and lagnadhipati Mars in the 5th house of seat of power.
BJP lost the 2004 general election. This was his Jupiter Saturn period and Saturn is in his 12th houses of losses and in neecha in his dasamsa chart of profession.
Subsequently he announced his retirement from active politics.
He died on 16 August 2018 at the age of 93. This was his Saturn Mercury period and Mercury is his 8th lord plus his Saturn Sadesati was going on.
