Which ever of the three Gunas – Satwa, Rajas and Tamas is strong in the planets, the trimshamsa interpretations are influenced by that. The predictions should be given, after considering the origin, background and surroundings of the native.

The Sun, Moon and Jupiter are Satwik; Venus and Mercury are Rajas; Mars and Saturn are Tamasik. These planets give results according to their Gunas, in the trimshamsa. The Sun in the trimshamsa lagna makes a native highly meritorious.

The Moon in the trimshamsa lagna makes the native feminine (like a girl).

If the Satwik Guna dominates the trimshamsa, the native is kind, steady, truthful, glorious and faithful to noble persons. If the Rajasik Guna dominates, the native is poetic, faithful to his wife and courageous.

If the Tamasik Guna dominates the trimshamsa, the native is fraudulent, stupid, lazy, hot tempered and fond of sleeping too much. In case there is no dominance of any Gunas, the results are varied.

• The Gunas are ingredients or constituents of the nature. All created things belong to three properties; the Satwa (the truth, reality, or quality of goodness or purity; the Rajas (the passion, love, cause of great activities, predominates in men since Satwa and Tamas predominate in gods and demons respectively); the Tamas (mental darkness, illusion, ignorance and grief).

If the trimshamsa lord is a malefic planet and is either debilitated or combust, the native is enemical to his siblings without any reason. If the trimshamsa lord is in a Trik house, the native has fears from the ruler. If the trimshamsa lord is a benefic planet and is also posited/aspected with benefics, the native enjoys happiness.

Comments :

• If the trimshamsa lord is either debilitated, malefic or combust in the trimshamsa chart or in the natal chart then the native develops unwanted tensions with his family and relatives.
• If the trimshamsa lord is posited in (Trik) 6^th, 8^th or 12^th house, either in the natal chart or in the trimshamsa chart, then the native has troubles from the government or the rulers.
• If the trimshamsa lord is either a benefic planet or is posited! aspected with benfics, then the native leads a happy life.

If the 8^th lord of trimshamsa is a benefic planet and is posited! aspected with benefics in the natal chart then native dies peacefully in happy surroundings. If otherwise, then native may die an unnatural death in bad conditions.

If most of the planets in the trimshamsa chart are either exalted, or posited with benefics in friendly signs, the native is enthusiastic, religious and respected.

A planet in its own trimshamsa gives strong results correspond­ing to the bhava – it owns in the natal chart. A planet exalted or posited in its own sign with benefics in the natal chart, if occupies its own trimshamsa also, then the native becomes like a king, renowned, attractive and prosperous.

Comments :

Since Cancer and Leo can not be trimshamsa lagnas, so the Sun and the Moon can not occupy their own trimshamsa. In case any of these two gets exalted or occupies a friendly house in the trimshamsa, the results are benefic.
